We’ve all got our favorite type of Girl Scout cookie, and it appears lowdown, dirty thieving scoundrels who would steal from the young scouts are no exception. Someone made off with almost $19,000 worth of cookies from a South Carolina warehouse — all of them either of the thin mints or shortbread variety. - Consumerist

Current establishment India House invites you to explore the vast possibilities. Located in the heart of historical downtown Santa Barbara and just couple of blocks from Sterns Warf, a unique opportunity for the entrepreneurial restaurateur. Many popular night spots surround India House, including 99Cents next door and Velvet Jones across the street. 

The existing dining space allows seating for 165 people, but there is an area in the back which could make a nice garden area with space for an additional 100 people. The retail area has a long walkway, storeroom and warehouse in the back. The warehouse could potentially be used as another storeroom. The entryway doors and windows, patio, bathrooms, and kitchen are newly built two years ago. Many other recent improvements have also been made.  

The listing price includes all kitchen fixtures, plates, cookware, and edible stock. Beer and Wine License 41 included in asking price. Retail merchandise is negotiable at additional cost.

Here's the parody website Guy's American Kitchen & Bar (the real website to the Guy Fieri's NYC restaurant is guysamerican.com vs the fake guysamericankitchenandbar.com). It was put together by a gentleman by the name of Bryan Mytko who proudly tweeted: "Guy Fieri didn't register his restaurant's domain name, so I picked it up. I think this new menu look great." The website, a simple parody menu, includes things like "Guy's Big Balls," "Honky-Tonky Double Barrel Meat Loaded Blast," and "The 'Hobo Lobo Bordello Slam Jam' Appetizer." There is also a french fry topping called "Donkamole." - Eater

As part of its dedication to locally sourced produce, El Encanto will have its own cow: Ellie. Ellie’s milk will be used to make a special cheese only found at the hotel. How great is that? And it doesn’t stop there. 

 There is an El Encanto unpasteurised beer, brewed nearby, to go with Ellie’s cheese. Your morning coffee is El Encanto’s own brand, and an on-site herb and vegetable garden means the journey from field to kitchen for some ingredients is as short as it can get. 
 Various energy saving and preservation techniques have been implemented to reduce overall consumption. Guests can ditch their car and take one of the complimentary electric bikes to head into Santa Barbara. Set on a hilltop, getting to the beach from the resort will be a breeze, but going back after a lazy day that little bit of electric power will sure help. - Hotel Chatter
