M&M's are made in China?

....Mars remains confident that none of its chocolate or confectionery products made in China include any dairy ingredients adulterated with melamine and that all of its products are safe for consumption”, the company statement says. - North Country Gazette

Mars North America said in a statement that its operations in China do not get any ingredients from companies found to be selling melamine-contaminated dairy products. It says the Chinese food-safety agency tested samples of Mars China's milk powder suppliers and found them to be free of melamine. - International Herald Tribune

Supermarkets in Hong Kong have also been pulling Oreo's, M&M's and Snickers off the shelves after Indonesia found traces of melamine in those products. - Shanghaist

Oh no! Not Oreo cookies. If Oreo cookies come under investigation in our country, they can use me as a guinea pig since I have eaten a bunch of Halloween Oreo's in the past couple of weeks.

I guess one could make their own candy and cookies but who the hell knows where the ingredients you might use might have originated? Seems eating anything other than what you grow yourself has become a health crap shoot.

It is pretty sad that we have thousands of American's without job, but yet American companies, keep moving operations overseas. They tell us their products are safe but let's face it; they would tell us anything to get us to buy their products and make them richer. Look at all the money they give to lobbiest each year, I wonder much they gave to the hungery.
