State & Fig in La Arcada

is finally opened after quite a bit of updating from the old Whale's Tail decor. Go take a taste test. The owners/chefs have quite the culinary chops on their resume. Can you say "The Patina Group?"
State & Fig is a new Cafe that serves the most delicious breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner foods in town. We always offer a seasonally inspired menu while still focusing on products that are handcrafted, raised, or grown in California. Our food is FRESH, FRESH, FRESH. The owners use their 40+ years of culinary/hospitality experience for the betterment of the entire Santa Barbara community.
State & Fig is owned by Marisa Moran and Patrick Casey. This husband and wife team has over 40 years of culinary experience and food morals that they use for the betterment of the Santa Barbara community. Patrick grew up in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and went on to study Hotel Management. From there he became Chef/Owner of the Velvet Room in Arizona which he eventually left to become Director of Operations for The Patina Group in Los Angeles, California. Marisa was raised in New Jersey. She studied Culinary Arts and has a B.S. in Food and Nutrition in Business. She has experience working in Culinary Arts and off premise catering which led to her career in the hotel industry. She worked for The Millennium Hotel Company in Arizona and later became The Director of Meetings and Special Events for The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, CA.
