Top Cheftestant Casey Thompson to highlight "In The Vineyard"
On October 20, 2012, Hope Family Wines will partner with Firestone Walker Brewing Company to host "In the Vineyard," a unique experience
that will showcase some of Paso Robles' best known wine and beer, paired
to Top Chef Season 3 finalist Casey Thompson's cuisine.
The event will
take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hope Family Vineyard at
1585 Live Oak Rd in Paso Robles, Calif., and will be a highlight
celebration of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance's annual Harvest Wine Weekend.
Casey Thompson is best known for her success in "Top Chef" and previously worked as sous chef under Chef Dean Fearing, "Father of Southwestern Cuisine." In recent years she has scoured small family farms in Napa and Sonoma for locavore farm to table events at wineries. Thompson will prepare a series of dishes specifically for the "In the Vineyard" event, with each plate paired to one wine and one beer. On hand to discuss the pairings will be Hope Family Wines' Winemaker, JC Diefenderfer, as well as Firestone Walker Brewery Brewmaster Matt Brynildson.

A portion of the total proceeds will be donated to Loaves & Fishes Paso Robles (loavesandfishespaso.org), benefitting emergency needs of persons
seeking help in Northern San Luis Obispo County.
