Chino's Rock & Tacos

read the new business paperwork on the window of the old Matador place at 714 State Street. Looks like yet another SLO restaurant is moving on down the coast!

We started Chino's with one thing in mind, Great Fresh Mexican Food with a Chicano flare. Think Nacho Libre meets Night at the Roxbury. Punk meets Mariachi. Chino's loves cars with curb feelers, ostrich boots and lowriders. - Chino's Rock & Tacos

From their blurb , it doesn't sound like a place I'd frequent. Sounds like it should be a few blocks down State Street.

The menu looks okay...theyhave alot of enthusiasim for a small place that just got started. Looks like they want to attract the college kids and their credit cards.

El Bajio, NOT.
