You've heard about From Farmer to Table...

But from Farmer to Hospital?

Improving hospital food: Direct sales from farmers to hospital food service departments are helping ill people eat better and recover faster. A new six-page brochure, Farm to Hospital: Supporting Local Agriculture and Improving Health Care, from the Community Food Security Coalition and the Center for Food & Justice (CFJ) at Occidental College addresses the ins and outs of developing partnerships between hospitals and local farms, looks at ways hospitals can improve the food they offer, tells how farmers can effectively market to hospitals, and provides case studies of successful efforts.
