Chef Bradley Ogden Leaving Root 246
It's been eight long years since Bradley Ogden called the Bay Area his home. But the celebrated chef and co-founder of the Lark Creek Restaurant Group, who espoused farm-to-table cooking decades before it became entrenched in the culinary lexicon, has returned - with a revved-up spirit and a bold game plan.
Ogden has a new 3,700-square-foot house in the Evergreen district of southeast San Jose, a new fiancee, a new multimedia company, and a new business partner in Chris Kelly, Facebook's first general counsel, who ran unsuccessfully for state attorney general two years ago.
Their as-yet-unnamed multimedia company is already at work on a pilot for a new cooking show, "Real Food With Chef Bradley Ogden." The show, which will be shopped around to TV networks, will follow Ogden as he visits farmers and artisan purveyors, and cooks at home with friends and family, including his son, Bryan, 34, also a gifted chef. - SFGate
Edible Santa Barbara had a wonderful visit and interview with Chef Ogden in the Fall of 2010.
